 As tommorow is a holiday ,in remembrance of our beloved leader,a speech was conducted about Mahatma Gandhiji on this day . On the evening of 30 January 1948, Nathuram Vinayak Godse shot Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi dead at point-blank range as India's most venerated leader emerged from a prayer meeting in the capital, Delhi.

  Republic Day is a remarkable day in the history of India as the day when finally the Constitution of India came into effect on  January  26, 1950. Republic day celebrated on January 26 .The flag off section were done by the Principal of the institution.

         Today is army day.In our assembly one of our colleague conducted a speech on army day. Every year, 15 January is commemorated as “Army Day” to remember the occasion when General (later Field Marshal) KM Cariappa took over the command of the Indian Army from General Sir FRR Bucher, the last British Commander-in-Chief in 1949 and became the first Indian Commander-in-Chief of Independent India.
